I got this feed thing figured out....FINALLY

Okay, so it cost me $5 (I became a Paid User) and several hours, but I finally figured out how to get my blog to show up as a feed on LJ.  Go to http://syndicated.livejournal.com/amys_blog/ .  Click on the Add to Friends link on it.  Just a warning, the only draw back is that it puts my most recent posts on your friends page immediately (i.e., like in front of everyone else's posts), but going forward, it will only post each new entry as it comes up, as if it were another LJ user updating.  Sorry for the pain, but in the long run, I thought it would be easier for folks to read it that way.

Blogger Syndication

I keep my blog on Blogger (I've been doing it for a while and I don't want part of a blog there and part of a blog somewhere else).  But if you like reading through LJ, you can actually read my blogger posts by adding my site feed as a friend.  To do that, go to the LJ syndication page and go to the bottom and add the following feed:  http://amydwhite.blogspot.com/atom.xml  An unfortunate note is that you have to have a Paid account to do this (which I'm quickly learning that all my LJ friends are and I didn't know it), but if you do and you feel like getting my blog updates on LJ so you don't have to check one more website, please follow the instructions above.  (Come on, somebody do it because I spent a lot of time figuring out how to do it.)

My blog....

I started an LJ account because of the Charleston BookCrossing convention.  Really, I have my blog on Blogger, so if you want to know more about me, visit me here.  I try to update pretty regularly.
